This month I have started my new program at Arohanui. It goes from July 2026 to Dec 2026. It’s been a great month starting up my new sessions!  In my Computer/Literacy session I have been trying out a game(called Block Bluster) on the internet using Arohanui's tablet. Great game! I have played a literacy game called Hangman. I also saw how many words I could come up with when picking out 6 random letters from the bananagram container.  In music and dance this month I loved jamming out to rock music. My drumming and singing during this session was amazing!  This month I have started going to Welcome Bay community centre in Welcome Bay. I have been volunteering there by folding and sorting clothes.  This month I have carried on attending Connect 20 sessions. That is great news for me!   Another month gone! Get In Computer sessions I have continued practicing my emailing skills. I have been practicing by sending emails to family and staff.  In my abilities unleashed session I explored wind and string instruments like the trumpet and banjo.  I also made Matariki stars for my art session this month, just in time for the special holiday. I have had some fun outings this month. The highlight was actually when I stayed in the sensory room and played eye spy(due to the rain). In my acting/roleplay sessions I have carried on doing Mary Poppins play with my friends. In the story Jane, and Michael Banks are about to go to the park to fly a kite.  In Personal books this month I sat down with my key staff and talked about potential goals for my upcoming IPP meeting.   Today we had a very special guest come to talk with us. Devon Briggs, the para-cyclist who is a world champion at cycling in the velodrome. He brought in his medals and bicycle and talked about his racing. EB

Another great session of Mary Poppins! Today it was great singing along to the song “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”! Such a big word 😅 WD  

We have been going all around the world for music and today we explored American music and artists! My favourite songs were from Bruno Mars and Michael Jackson - TR  

 Today for abilities unleashed we made sock puppets, and had a puppet show. An 

Had a blast in sports with an aiming game. It was new to me and I liked the sound of the Velcro. -N.O.  

Very happy to be doing personal books! Today I sorted through my photos of when I go for walks on Thursday S2! WD  

Great fun carrying on Marry Poppins play. Today Marry Poppins and the kids (Micheal and Jane) went into shop and had conversation with Mr Correy. WD  

  I loved making this cube following the instructions and making sure I got the right pieces in the right spots KB

 I had a really fun music session were we listened to music from different Island nations, we also watched their traditional dance performances and decided to do some of our own. I played a guitar made out of a coconut and shook my hips to music from the Cook Islands. D.H.

Had a great morning playing Bat down and than made special photos on AI of us playing our favourite sport. (Check last image) -N.O. New Zealand Black Caps and cricket bat and ball.  

  I felt so special when my friends sang me happy birthday and I got to enjoy sharing a yummy,my fruit cake with them KB

Super fun walking bingo at the lakes playground this afternoon. I really enjoyed spotting all the things. -N.O.  

I enjoyed the movie “Kangaroo” at Sonic  theatre today. The movie was funny and based on a true story of a man who started up a kangaroo sanctuary in AliceSprings. It was great to see my  Friends from the other centers. DG  

I was such a hard worker this morning. Made hot chocolates, washed dishes, cleared tables. Busy busy morning. -N.O.  

Got to wonder down to Liston Park to play some petanque with my mates. Than came back to play some bowling. Was a fun sports afternoon. -N.O.
