Monthly update for June.
Another month gone! Get In Computer sessions I have continued practicing my emailing skills. I have been practicing by sending emails to family and staff.
In my abilities unleashed session I explored wind and string instruments like the trumpet and banjo.
I also made Matariki stars for my art session this month, just in time for the special holiday.
I have had some fun outings this month. The highlight was actually when I stayed in the sensory room and played eye spy(due to the rain). In my acting/roleplay sessions I have carried on doing Mary Poppins play with my friends. In the story Jane, and Michael Banks are about to go to the park to fly a kite.
In Personal books this month I sat down with my key staff and talked about potential goals for my upcoming IPP meeting. I think we came up with some cool goals!
My highlight of the walk/exercise session this month was going for a walk at the bottom fields of Waipuna walk.
I took a ball to kick around while I walked which was fun! In Literacy/Numeracy sessions this month my friends and I went over some “Cheeky” NZ sign language. It was a funny session! This month I have finished helping out at Merivale community centre. It has been a great experience for me helping the centre keep neat and tidy(by folding clothes and organising a book shelf.).
This month has also been the Start of the Football World Cup in USA/Mexico/Canada. At the Centre my friends and I drew countries out of a hat. We will see which country does the best. I got Germany! I think they will do well!
Half way through the year already. I hope the next six months will be just as awesome as the first!
